Johannes van Rensburg sworn is as Prime Minister
The first part of our plan to unify the African continent under an elite Afrikaans government came to fruition with the election of die Broederbonds preferred party: the Ossewabrandwag. Prime Minister van Rensburg and his group are well-known for their pro-Nazi views among the Intelligentsia of South Africa but you'd never read about it in Die Burger. (Which is now the official state newspaper)
Thanks to die Broederbond the last government was easily influenced to invest in the military capabilities of the South African Army. The production of three more divisions of Infantry were timed to near perfect with the election of the Ossewabrandwag, who can now use them to pursue an aggressive expansion of the South African state.
Operation Donder Klapp
On the 1st of August 1937 a fleet of transport ships carrying two of our
finest infantry brigades (3 INF + 1 ART) led by the traitor General Jan
Smuts traveled along the West of Africa before dropping anchor off the
coast of Portuegese Guinea.
Jan Smuts inspects the Invasion forces.
Once we had the men in position, in the seas off Guinea, the Prime Minister Johannes van Rensburg declared war on the European nation of Portugal.
An immediate assault on Portugeuse Guinea followed. The mighty 20,000 strong South African troops stormed the city of Bissau and were met with very little resistance. The nation folded almost immediately. The annexation of Guinea was never the prime target of this mission. It objectives were two fold 1) to serve as a diversion to the Portuguese, this was merely a clap of thunder to distract them from the impending lightning strike, and 2) to prevent Portuguese forces from being able to send troops to mount a defense of their remaining African colonies.
Operation Bliksem
The moment the first South African boot landed on the coast of Guinea we commenced Operation Bliksem. A 10,000 man brigade of Infantry based crossed the eastern border of South Africa straight into the city of Lourenço Marques, capital of Portuegese East Africa. With zero defenses of their own the colony capitulated immediately and was annexed into South Africa.
Our 5th and final infantry brigade, aboard a transport ship, began an aquatic assault invading the city of Nova Lisboa in Portuegese Angola. Like all of her sister colonies Angola was unable to put up any sort of resistance against the might of the South African Military. Portuguese Angola too was annexed within days.
The SA Infantry marching into Portuguese Territories
Those troops involved in the attack on Guinea were reloaded back on to their transports and bought back to the main land, stopping to capture Cape Verde and Sao Tome on their return. The traitor Jan Smuts was left in Bissau with a garrison brigade as a token defense force. Getting rid of Smuts had been a long term aim of ours and having him station in a far off land was an easy solution.
It took a total of just six days to nearly double the size of South Africa. The longest part of the invasion was crossing the border into Portuguese East Africa, which took five days. Chief of the Army C. de Weenburg du Toit expressed in his report that “the inhabitants of these nations viewed our forces as 'liberators' of Portuguese colonialism.”
How naive they are.
